The present professional sufficiency report presents a proposal for the design of an automated system for a paint booth of a medium-sized family metallurgical company with the aim of increasing its production. This research has a quantitative approach, presents a scope of the explanatory type, and the research design used is the pre-experimental. Observation was also used as a data collection technique, having as an analysis unit a metallurgical company in the field of industrial warehouse structures. Through the data collected in the tests of the proposed automated system, an increase in the productivity of the paint line was obtained from 81.83% to 93.43%, that means an increase of 11.59% in the process of steel profiles painting. Likewise, an investment recovery time of approximately 4.78 months and a cost/benefit ratio of S/. 1.88 were obtained.
