In this investigation, the general objective that was presented was determined the efficiency of the Cleangold Sluice method in the recovery of gold from an alluvial deposit located in the Madre de Dios region in Peru. Knowing the efficiency in a metallurgical process or operation allows the researcher to evaluate corrective measures in order to optimize the experiments. Proposing alternative methods to mercury for obtaining gold is important because this could improve the quality of life of the miner, his family, the community and the ecosystem of the surrounding area. This was a quantitative investigation because gold recovery has been calculated for different scenarios using the Cleangold Sluice where a p- value greater than 0.1 was found. For this reason, it was recommended that the number of experiments should be increased in order to improve mathematical modeling.
