The objective of this paper is to describe the work carried out as part of the supervisión of the MAIN SEWAGE COLLECTOR in the project “Provision of Sanitation Services for the Southern Districts of Lima - PROVISUR“, the main sewage collector covers the 4 districts of southern Lima which They are: Punta Hermosa, Puna Negra, San Bartolo and Santa María del Mar. Due to the fact that the project is located in the seaside of the southern districts of Lima, the main sewage collector consists of sections that are driven by drainage pumping chambers and other sections that carry the sewage through collectors that work hydraulically by gravity. During the execution of the project there were difficulties outside the concessionaire where they had to reconsider the technical file, these changes were analyzed, reviewed and approved by the supervision before its execution. In the same way, the construction process had to be adapted to the circumstances found in the construction of the terrestrial emitter, the pumping chambers and the discharge lines. To ensure that the main sewage collector fulfill the function of driving the drainage to the WWTP, it was verified that the quality of materials and the construction procedure complies with the technical specifications established in the technical file, finally, the corresponding hydraulic and mechanical tests were carried out. that ensure the correct execution of the start-up.
