The present research work called “influence of critical risk management in the reduction of accidents in a mining company“, has as its main objective to determine the influence of critical risk management in the reduction of work accidents, in the unit. Cristóbal, Company Minera Volcan S.A.A., for which the scientific method has been used, with a correlational descriptive type and research design, the population is made up of the workers of the company where the proportional probabilistic sample size of 71 has been calculated, for the collection of the information, the survey research instrument was designed and used with 30 items that were determined to be valid and reliable. The independent variables and the dependent variable have been related together with a multiple linear regression model, each independent variable has also been related to the dependent variable in three simple linear regression models. With the results obtained and the contracting of the hypotheses at a level of significance of 0.05, it has been possible to determine that the influence of critical risk management is significant in the reduction of accidents, the multiple correlation coefficient of 0.925, and the coefficient of determination of 0.856 obtained, indicate that there is a high correlation between the management of critical risks and the reduction of accidents and that the management of critical risks influences 85.6% in the reduction of accidents.
