This thesis analyzes the risk of fire in a health establishment, applying the Fire Risk Assessment Method for Engineering - FRAME methodology. Using the Excel software that contains the operations of the FRAME methodology, to calculate the different risk levels, to finally calculate the initial fire risk “Ro“ and the fire risk level of the different floor levels of the health facility. The health establishment is a complex infrastructure, since it has different care areas, where it provides medical assistance, childbirth to the hospitalization of people. That is why the infrastructure must have adequate equipment to prevent and control a fire. In order to guarantee a safe place for people and maintain the continuity of health care services for patients. The initial fire risk is less than 1; while the risk of equity and/or assets, for the third and fourth floors, is greater than 1; the risk to people, at all floor levels, is less than 1; and risk to activities. at all floor levels, it is greater than 1. The level of risk for assets and/or assets, risk for people, and risk for activities; it is higher on the fourth floor. That is why it will be taken as a reference level with respect to the other floor levels, in order to implement adequate and effective fire prevention and control measures. It is identified that in the different floor levels there are critical areas that do not have an adequate system to prevent and control a fire, such as a sprinkler system, special automatic system, lack of hydrants, lack of contingency plan, among others. As well as the low capacity for fire-fighting water storage that the health facility has. Likewise, the health establishment has manual fire extinguishers for the different classes of fire, an automatic detection system, and distribution of fire cabinets at all floor levels. Its infrastructures have fire resistance.
