The objective of this work is to determine the optimum configuration of the trawler structure. For this purpose, a finite element analysis will be performed to obtain the stress and deformation distribution. The thesis begins with a review of typical structures of trawler systems, then, a base structure is chosen on which parameters will be applied to the main elements that make up the different structural elements. The geometric model was developed in RHINOCEROS and then the stress and deformation results were obtained for each structure from which the optimum configuration will be determined based on the weight and drag capacity of each system. Additionally, the effects of each selected parameter are discussed, and conclusions are presented.
