The influence that the addition of synthetic polypropylene fibers will have, varying their size and quantity, on the resistance to compression, traction and flexion of high-strength concrete is studied; Likewise, an analysis of the cost regarding the use of these fibers was carried out. Three designs of a concrete standard were made, and polypropylene fibers of three different sizes (42 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm) and three different amounts (4 kg, 6 kg and 8 kg per m3 of mixture) were added to each one for w/c ratios of 0,25, 0,30 and 0,35. That is, there are three mix designs without the addition of fiber (standard concrete) and 27 designs with the addition of fiber based on the standard concrete designs. Fine and coarse aggregate (stone) from the Huachipa and Huaycán quarries, Type I Portland Cement from the SOL brand, high-range water reducing additive superplasticizer without retardation NEOPLAST 8500 HP from the QSI PERÚ brand, structural synthetic fiber of polypropylene of the POLYSTARK brand were used respectively. With respect to the statistical analysis, it was shown that the data meet the tests of normality and homogeneity, therefore a parametric test was applied to verify the hypothesis using the “F” Fisher-Anova multivariate test with two Leven factors with tests in sizes of fiber of 42, 50 and 60 mm for quantities of 4 kg, 6 kg and 8 kg of fiber per cubic meter of concrete which accepts the hypothesis. It is concluded that: In fresh concrete; settlement is significantly reduced for fiber dosage greater than 4 kg/m3 regardless of fiber size; and the unit weight is reduced with higher dosage and/or larger fiber size. In hardened concrete; compressive strength decreases with higher dosage and/or higher fiber size up to a maximum of 8,6 %. The tensile strength increases with higher dosage and/or larger fiber size, for fiber sizes from 50 mm this increase is approximately 10,7 %. Flexural strength increases with higher dosage and/or greater fiber size, the increase is significant with values between 14,9 % and 19,4 %; In addition, a relationship is established that implies that for every additional 2 kg/m3 in the fiber dosage, this resistance increases by 5,85 %.
