The level of compression that fine soils can undergo depends on the Ce compression index, a value obtained from consolidation tests on undisturbed and remodeled soil samples. Since it takes a long time to develop a consolidation test to obtain a compressibility index, some authors correlate this parameter with index properties, such as liquid limit, porosity, and natural water content, which are easy to obtain. In proposing these relationships, it is necessary to consider the area of the research site and the type of soil, and they have great practical uses, especially in the planning stage of the project, because they can analyze settlements with a high degree of confidence. If the results of the consolidation tests are not available, then, for structures in cohesive soils, these will serve to make decisions about the most appropriate type of foundation to use. The fact that the compressibility index is dependent on the soil structure and its stress history makes this a particular problem for each site. In this work, correlations between the compressibility index and index properties for soils of the departments of Ucayali, San Martin and Amazonas are studied. The compressibility of the fine soil tested in the undisturbed and remodeled state is analyzed. For the aforementioned, consolidation tests will be carried out on the soil samples extracted in the area to be investigated. The remodeled soil test is performed on samples whose moisture content reaches the liquid limit, so the generated compressibility curve only shows the shape of the original piece. The results of the consolidation tests of 180 cohesive soils from places near the prospecting area (Ucayali, San Martín and Amazonas) were also analyzed. Statistical analysis is performed on the data collected with the experimental resultsexecuted by the researcher in order to propose correlations. So that the approximate value of the compressibility index obtained can be based on the following index properties: liquid limit, LL, in-situ, ratio between intrinsic and water content, Wn, and then a combination of two elements: (LL, en), (LL, Wn) and (en and Wn). Likewise, the results obtained in existing equations formulated by different authors on soils with similar characteristics are compared. The data taken from the 191 one-dimensional consolidation tests collected are from projects carried out by different companies in the areas under study. The main projects carried out in the department of Ucayali include the Real Plaza de Pucallpa, the Regional Hospital, the Drinking Water System Project and repair project of Miraflores Ave. and F. Kennedy St. in 2009, Port Terminal in 2004, etc. In the department of San Martin, we have Yuracyacu Bridge in the year 2000, construction of a 220 kv Transmission Line, C.H. Naranjal II, Carretera Norte- Section 2 - Rio, etc. Finally, in the department of Amazonas we have C.E 17074 in Bagua Grande, Vía Carrozable Tiwinza - Ecuador in 2000, Puente Santa María De Nievas in 2010, Transoceanic Highway, Bongara Project, etc.
