In this research, a pressurization system for the evacuation stairs was designed, which is achieved by improving the protection and safety of users or personnel who are inside the educational building, if a fire occurs, this pressurization system creates an adequate barrier preventing the smoke, product of the fire, from entering the stairs. At the same time, the appropriate conditions are generated for the transit of people at the time of an emergency. It presents the considerations and the analysis that must be followed by the ASHRAE calculation method for pressurization systems, when there is a building with a more complex evacuation route, in this case, two stairwells connected to the same exterior exit, The modeling was carried out with CONTAM computer software, in order to verify that the dimensions of the system are adequate. When the pressurization system is designed, it has been developed with energy saving in mind, which is currently in great demand, since fans must be used, which have been correctly dimensioned for these purpose, thereby obtaining an efficient electric motor. and the appropriate accessories to vary the capacity of the system such as a frequency inverter to control and vary the flow in the different scenarios that will occur during the operation of the system. In this way, the national regulations of the building in Peru and the minimum building safety requirements are successfully met.
