In this report, the direct influence is determined while applying the Energy Balance in the calculations made for the consumption according to the energy’s billing and electric power, that are supplied by the different Electricity Generating Companies to “Free Customers” and distribution companies nationwide. First, due to the progressive growth that takes place in the country in the different production sectors (mining, fishing, industrial and others), it’s necessary that “Sistema Eléctrico Interconectado Nacional (SEIN)” and distribution networks expand persistently, establishing a greater number of electrical substations to comply with the electricity supply for the companies that are in need of it. In second place, due to the liberalization (deregulation) of the Peruvian electricity market, “Free Customers” or big users have the power to enter into the supply contracts directly with the Electricity Generating Companies, without the intervention of the Distributors. Likewise, in a large number of electrical substations present in the SEIN and distribution networks, they have measurement systems to record the required electrical parameters, such as: Voltage, Current, Frequency, Energy, Power, among others. However, measurement systems are not present in all supply points of “Free Customers” and Distributors. In this context, it’s necessary to carry out Energy Balance in order to determine the energy and electrical power supplied by the Electricity Generating Companies to “Free Customers” and Distributors nationwide. In conclusion, the calculations’ result through the Energy Balance will have a better approximation to the energy and real power, supplied to the “Free Customers” and Distributors, by making the analysis of one-line diagrams, load flows, and applying loss factors, using the lectures recorded in the neighboring substations if required.
