The study focuses on evaluating element at the current condition of suspension bridges that are located on the National Highway PE-05N “Fernando Belaunde Terry“, especially in the Southern Section stretch Juanjui - Tocache, San Martin Region. The study of these bridges with steel cables suspended high strength metal frame board with top slab of reinforced concrete and the road surface with asphalt, the pathology of different structures are derived on the basis of which has developed a proposal to develop a Management System for Maintenance Walkways in the San Martin region, which can be implemented by the Central Government and Regional Governments of Peru, and to maintain and preserve the hanging bridges in good condition, as a safe solution the local land, provincial, regional and national transport, thus contributing to economic and social development of our country. The proposed study to develop a Management System for Maintenance Walkways in the San Martin region, was born as a process that serves to regulate the care of these bridges short, medium and long term, on the use of technical standards MTC supervision and control of projects. The objective of the development and implementation of Maintenance Walkways with steel structure, is to develop the life of the bridge and even reinforce it also get low loss, few stops and zero accidents, for which it uses two stages proposed in the present work. “Government public institutions, especially the MTC are required to run in an efficient, effective, economic and timely maintenance of public works that are your responsibility, under appropriate programming.“ The practice situation differs from what is stated in this article as several accidents have arisen by omitting the application of the regulation. The industry of our country needs to use a system that gives effect to the above. Based on this need, this project presents a methodology to start with the development of the whole process of maintenance of suspension bridges in the San Martin region.
