This thesis will focus on Reliability Centered Maintenance, a methodology that allows the creation of a plant maintenance plan by applying scheduled preventive maintenance, analyzing all the probabilities of equipment failure and the development of mechanisms to avoid these failures. , thus increasing the availability of the implanted equipment. In this case, it is worth mentioning that measures and strategies will be proposed to reduce failures of the CATG3606 / CATG3608 motor compressor, taking into account the benefits of using this maintenance focused on reliability to optimize the operational availability of plant machinery. It was carried out in each of the plant equipment to find its most common faults, diagnosing each component and implementing its corrective and preventive maintenance to avoid future stops and harm the company, as well as the different necessary calculations and current regulations, considering that the plant works 365 days without rest during 24 hours a day, where the scheduled operation time is 8760 h/year, the repair time is 125 hours, total number of interventions is 80, resulting in 98.5% availability, reliability is 99.14%, its maintainability 4.35%. It was determined that the budget is economical and easy access to get spare parts, the cost would be 223,131nuevos soles.
