The professional sufficiency work was based on the tariff study developed by SUNASS during the year 2019. The purpose was to regulate the drinking water and sewage services provided by the sanitation company SEDACAJ S.A. in the cities of Cajamarca, Contumazá and San Miguel through the update of the rate for the period 2019 – 2024. The document contains the situational diagnosis of the company and the water and sewage systems, as well as demand – supply balance. According to this evaluation, investments programmed for the improvement in service provision for an amount of 29.82 million soles, in addition, an amount of 4.07 million soles for reserves related to disaster prevention and preservation of the water sources. Additionally, incremental costs were established for works executed and required for regulatory compliance. To provide sustainability to the system and improve the quality of service, it was determined that the average rate should be 2.289 and 1.117 soles per cubic meter for drinking water and sewage services, respectively. Likewise, the required tariff update is 7% for the three cities in the first year and 7.5% in the third year for the city of Cajamarca, these updates will allow more people to have access to drinking water and sewage services. , as well as avoid quality decline.
