In this Professional Sufficiency Report, the technical aspects for the modernization of the Medium Voltage distribution facilities and substations for an Institute of Higher Technical Education will be disclosed. The guidelines of the Modernization Project are indicated, from the electric feeder and distribution networks, the protection and coordination system, the energy equipment, the safety and reliability of the system. The present problem of the 10 kV voltage level in facilities from the 60s-70s, the policies of the Electricity Concessionaire, as well as issues related to safety and reliability, which have legal significance, are raised. This Project not only describes the solution to this problem, but also makes known the advantage of the modernization of distribution systems, the change in the voltage level that causes a greater load capacity for the facilities and greater production, it is also necessary It should be mentioned that this leads to a technological change with better performance equipment and protection systems, as well as modern instrumentation and measurement systems that collaborate with the new requirements or requested requirements for increasing power or reducing faults. The validation methods that are taken into account are those developed based on the technical standards, good practices and experience of the Electricity Concessionaire, the executing companies and the professionals of the College of Engineers of Peru; The results obtained have been so satisfactory that the problems of untimely power cuts have been mitigated or disappeared, reduction of electrical risk with zero accidents to date, sustainable growth in demand, system reliability, compliance with Indeci regulations, Osinergmin and Ministry of Energy and Mines, related international standards, uninterrupted continuity of service, internal and external customer satisfaction.
