This thesis work studies the operation of an energy converter system for the reliable supply of electrical energy to a three-phase load, the system can work autonomously or interactively with the electrical grid, using the mechanical energy generated by a variable speed micro-turbine. The design of the five stages that make up the proposed energy converter system is presented in detail. Stage 1: Wind Micro-Turbine. Stage 2: Induction Generator and Converter 1. Stage 3: DC-Link and DC-DC Converter. Stage 4: Converter 2 and LCL Filter. Stage 5: System Control. The energy converter system is designed and simulation is implemented using Matlab- Simulink software, the results are analyzed for different wind and load scenarios, both in autonomous and grid-connected modes. A prototype of the energy converter system is implemented, its operation is tested and the experimental results are presented. Both the simulation and experimental results show that the proposed system works properly. A good response to wind and load variations was obtained, as well as reliability and quality of the electrical energy supplied.
