In order to keep cosmetic products in optimal conditions during storage, warehouse ventilation and thermal insulation material are important factors. The goal of this project is to compare different thermal insulation materials in a storage warehouse where mechanical ventilation is used to control internal temperature. This study implemented a mathematical model using heat transfer equations and thermal load calculation. Additionally, the number of people working inside the warehouse, lighting, machines, mechanical ventilation characteristics and external weather conditions were considered for the model. Qualitative and quantitative comparison were performed between three insulation materials: aluminum laminated polyethylene foam, polyurethane foam and thermal insulation paint. MATLAB was used to perform simulation in order to compare their behavior in the storage warehouse. Finally, graphs are presented in order to show advantages and limitations of each material.
