This study entitled 'Modeling of centralized air conditioning system with variable refrigerant volume (VRV) to improve the indoor environmental quality (IEQ) in an office building', The objective is to model a VRV air conditioning system to improve the indoor environmmental quality of the offices of a three- story building located in La Molina, Lima, Peru. This research used a methodology according to the applied type approach, according to the experimental design and according to the scope is of the explanatory type. The instruments used in the research are: data collection file and historical records. In the development of the proposal, calculations were made to estimate the thermal load, psychometric calculations and calculations in the air distribution system. For the selection of the equipment of the VRV air conditioning system, the VRV Xpress software was used and for the simulations of the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) the Solidworks software was used. The results of this investigation show that the VRV air conditioning system improves the factors that limit indoor environments quality in office building environments. PPD, PMV, temperature and relative humidity indicators were reduced to within the range acceptable by ASHRAE. The CO2 concentration was reduced, and the LAQI indicator of exhaled air showed values above the value of one, thus proving that the VRV air conditioning system is successful in reducing the physical indoor air pollutants in the office building.
