The labor adequacy work entitled: “Development of an efficient and operative short- term mining plan in an open-pit mining operation“, aims to show the development of a short-term mining plan which in turn is efficient and operating in an open pit mining operation in order to reach the goals set for both tonnage and grade. In this mining strategy, it will indicate what must be taken into account when preparing a mining plan so that it can be carried out in the field and obtain the planned values, in addition, it will show the different variables or considerations that directly influence the development of the mining plan, which not considering them will decrease the probability of reaching the proposed objectives. The methodology used to develop the work is descriptive, as it describes one by one the process of mining operations that influence the development of the mining plan, complemented with the analysis and statistics of each production process in order to see its inference in the development of the mining plan. This work does not go in depth into the subject of blasting, calculating trucks, obtaining grades and classifying materials to be mined. But it is explained superficially and shows how important it is to consider in mining plans and the implications of not having the correct values. At the end of this work, it is concluded that the most important thing in developing a mining plan is to correctly simulate what the loading equipment is going to mine and to know more accurately our laws and type of material to be mined. This would allow us to comply with the tonnages and laws proposed.
