The objective of this research is to provide general recommendations on the pedestrian crossing treatments to be considered in non-signalized intersections, applied in the city of San Isidro, in general; considering that the vast majority of districts are alike in neglect of the treatment of pedestrian facilities. The methodology of the scientific research used corresponds to the quantitative approach, of an applied type, with a non-experimental design and a descriptive, cross-sectional level. 384 pedestrians who crossed 4 intersections without traffic lights in the district of San Isidro were measured, a convenience sample was made based on a municipal technical report for the choice of the 4 analyzed crossings, in addition a check sheet was used, in addition, it was used a questionnaire taken from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program- NCHRP 562 (2006) directed to pedestrian size 384 pedestrians, divided among the 4 intersections. Finally, a simulation was made to contrast the diagnosis (checklist) versus the simulated crosses with countermeasures, through the simulation with the VISSIM software. The research conclusions statistically evidenced the verification of the general hypothesis, this being a significant test, the recommendations focus on applying countermeasures at the 4 crossings, which was shown to increase road safety and as a consequence, a lower percentage of accidents.
