In the construction industry the equipment used to move heavy loads are cranes, one of the failures of mobile cranes is stability, the accident data where the crane is involved shows the risk to which the workers are exposed, Injuries and fatal accidents are the result of the tipping of the cranes, the tipping condition is the result of the load moment being greater than the weight of the crane, the support point for the tipping is a function of the geometry of each crane, the utilization factor in this condition is 100%, the established methodology evaluates the geometric restrictions with iteration of the definition of the search parameters and the capacity tables of the cranes, the optimal crane that can perform is selected safe lifting work and the utilization factor is quantified. The crane selection time is reduced by programming the search for parameters in the crane capacity tables.
