In this thesis the implementation of renewable energies in urban transport is studied; through the collection of information in the most important cities in the world (according to PBI), as well as in the South American countries and other continents that have bet and carried out their management for the development of mass transport in an efficient way to reduce the impacts of the problem of urban traffic (congestion, delays, accidents and environmental problems), which is the product of the increase in population and poor urban planning. Therefore, the research is carried out in certain capitals or important cities of the countries with greater technological development and / or a large number of population, since although it is true that economic growth generates: jobs, high salaries, massive flow of money; in a metropolis (cities with a population greater than 1 million people) it generates stress, fast lifestyle, pollution, small spaces of green areas, traffic and consequently time lost in transport, either to go to work or to return home ; affecting our quality of life. See, know, study, collect experiences in mass transport with renewable energy (type of mass urban transport, number of people transported, service hours, peak hours, investment, time, payment method, use of applications, etc.) of the other metropolises in the desire to improve the quality of life of their population, will allow a broader vision of the possible solutions that could be applied in Lima (capital of Peru), which has one of the worst urban traffic in regional level (second place in Traffic Index 2020). The implementation of renewable energies in the Alstom train-based mass transport system has been studied by simulating three scenarios in which renewable energy sources are combined: photovoltaic solar panels and wind turbines, using the RETScreen Expert program that allows the technical and economic analysis. In addition, a validation of the technical- economic variables of the Rubí Solar Photovoltaic Plant has been carried out, comparing the results of the RETScreen Expert program and the information presented by the Peruvian energy supervisory body. This thesis is made up of the following five chapters: Chapter I presents the introduction, the statement of the problem and the objectives of the thesis. Chapter II shows the possible information on mass transportation systems at the regional and global level, that is, the theoretical framework and the background. Chapter III details the information on renewable energy technologies (photovoltaic solar panels, wind turbines and storage) that are applied to mass transport. Chapter IV describes the methodology and results of the research, which involves the analysis of the information obtained based on three study scenarios and one comparison with a photovoltaic solar power plant currently in operation. In Chapter V the conclusions and recommendations of this thesis are given. Finally, you have the bibliography and annexes. The bibliographic references consulted for this thesis are presented in the bibliography, and; in the annexes they are supplemented with technical sheets.
