For the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television, Peru adopted the Japanese standard Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial (ISDB-T), with the improvements developed in Brazil (ISDB-Tb), the migration to this technology provides citizens with a better image and sound quality compared to analog television. The objective of this project is to migrate an analog television station to digital television in the town of Huarmey - Caleta Culebras in the department of Ancash, under the direct transition modality, according to the master plan to implement DTT in the country and the channeling plan of the mentioned town. To achieve the objective of the project, it is proposed to change the equipment installed in the station's transmitting plant. For this, in addition, according to the technical parameters of the station, the coverage area was calculated using the Prediction Curve of the Longley / Race method, approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States, Curve F (50.90). Likewise, the simulation of the coverage area of the station was carried out using the Radiomobile software.
