This report presents how electromechanical projects are controlled by the majority of subcontractors, which are new to the market or do not have much working capital, through non-standardized methodologies and it is shown that their use is inefficient for the project control system. Therefore, the earned value management methodology is proposed and applied in the control of costs and time in the work of electromechanical installations of the Torre del Parque II project, which allows an effective solution to the setbacks that arise during the execution of the project based on measurable control parameters and thus evaluate the performance of the work during its execution, allowing the correct preventive or corrective actions to be carried out to achieve the goals set. The type of research carried out is of the applied type and has a mixed approach (Quantitative - Qualitative). The design is non-experimental and descriptive for the non-standardized methodology, because it was carried out without the deliberate manipulation of the variables and the phenomena will be observed in their natural environment. And for the earned value methodology it is experimental, descriptive and comparative, since one or more variables were manipulated to control the increase or decrease of these variables and their effect at the end of the project. The result for the Torre del Parque II project was that it obtained an 11,4% profitability and a 1% delay in delivery, according to its latest schedule. With which it is shown that this methodology has a better performance compared to a non-standardized methodology, achieving an improvement in obtaining profitability.
