This thesis research applies Parametric Design and Generative Design for the generation of complex structures, through the BIM methodology, being implemented in the design phase of a new modern proposal for Hall J1 of the National University of Engineering. The conception and design phase of projects are developed in a traditional way using CAD Software for drawing plans or BIM Software for the design and / or modeling of structures, carrying out manual tasks either for the extraction of measurements, for exchange of information or modeling. This implies a lack of efficiency in many processes because despite having modern computational tools, the full potential they offer is not used. This is reflected in the productivity of the construction sector as it is one of the lowest compared to other sectors such as manufacturing, commerce, agriculture. Due to the lack of innovation in new structures and low productivity, new technologies were studied for the conception and design, for which a mapping of the software available on the market that could support the parametric and generative design was carried out first. With this condition, it was decided to use the AUTODESK family of programs. Subsequently, various types of structures were explored, testing the parametric behavior and understanding the operation of these new methodologies. Because of the previous tests, the proposed procedures were followed to cover parametric and generative problems, developing algorithms in Dynamo, Python and Project Refinery; capable of creating structures automatically adapting to the designer's criteria. Based on the last stage of the Parametric Design and Generative Design procedures, the algorithms for the formulation of the structure are implemented in Hall J1, demonstrating the applications in various tasks such as modeling, load generation, structural design and software interoperability.
