In the present work we detailed all the activities made during the development of a virtual platform to facilitate the control and monitoring of certain parameters of an industrial plant from remote locations to it, through end user devices such as cell phones, tablets or computers that are connected to the internet. This platform has been thought to take advantage of the actual solutions in the market and to guarantee the privacy and availability of client’s data. As a first advantage, this platform cost less than its equivalents in the market, this fact does not reduce the quality of the final product because the components of this system fulfill the standards required to work in industrial environments. Likewise, this platform also has been thought to not alter the original architecture of the industrial plant, so the plant will continue working in the case of the designed platform does not work properly. On the other hand, the design of the system has been done using communication protocols that ensure the privacy of the client’s data when they travel through the internet. Finally, to validate the results we have implemented a small prototype that simulate the behavior of the conventional industrial plant. With this prototype we made multiple tests in order to guarantee the proper operation of this platform.
