The company Red Energía del Perú S.A. manages the operation and maintenance of 19,574 transmission line structures; from 2007 to 2019, 69,891 maintenance alerts have been registered for the structures, span and conductors. All these maintenance alerts must be prioritized and the associated teams qualified, this work requires 3.8 hours per day from the transmission line specialist. Process automation has been evolving by leaps and bounds. Since 2017, Software Robots have played a leading role in the process automation area, since they are not invasive and do not generate process changes. The constant challenges that the organization has been facing has forced additional tasks to be delegated to the department that performs the technical evaluation of the equipment. So man hours are no longer sufficient to complete routine tasks. Given this problem, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) was implemented to automate the process of qualifying teams and prioritizing activities (notices) with the aim of reducing the man hours invested in transactional processes.
