The present study shows how the evaluation of the General Equipment Efficiency Indicators (OEE) and its subsequent analysis through the use of the Pareto Diagram can optimize the productivity of the flat weaving area of the textile company Consorcio La Parcela S.A. For this research, the Pic pic Taffeta (585) family was selected as the most representative and as a non-probabilistic sample, the Picañol 65 loom was selected as it has the highest production volume within the 585 family. We began with the initial evaluation of the OEE indicators based on the study of the information of the cause of the stoppages of loom 65 and its subsequent analysis through the use of the Pareto Diagram for each indicator: Availability, Yield and Quality. Then, thanks to the results obtained in the initial phase and the interviews with the main area managers (supervisors, mechanics and operators), a better analysis of the cause of the stoppages in loom 65 is achieved and proposals that can reduce the unnecessary stoppage times and increase the value of each OEE indicator are established. Subsequently, after approximately two months for the progressive implementation of the proposed improvements, a final evaluation of the OEE indicators is carried out and it is verified that, by increasing the production of flat fabric (which directly affects the Yield indicator), optimizing the use of working time (which directly affects the Availability indicator) and reducing the percentage of second quality fabric (which directly affects the Quality indicator), it is possible to improve productivity on Loom 65.
