The present research aims to reflect on architectural drawn criticism as an alternative method to traditional literary criticism (text, article, essay, etc.) for architects, under the premise that if the means of communication in architecture it is drawing, criticism should also use the same strategies. In this drawn criticism, the determination of the caricature genre as the drawing with the greatest projection and critical essence above any other, has allowed us to delve into theoretical reflection on it, decomposing its main characteristics: Humor as a critical way of seeing the world, drawing as the medium that makes criticism visible, and architecture criticism itself from its methods and strategies. Finally, the research reflects on the critical essence of caricature from the theories of humor and the history of architectural caricature in Perú, and concludes by delimiting its scope and limits for the critical exercise of architects.
