The value stream map, a continuous improvement tool, seeks to optimize the value stream through the interaction of information with the execution of processes. It has four parts: identify and define the product family, create the current value stream map, create the stream map of future value, and develop a work and execution plan. It has indicators used in the manufacturing industry, however, when adapting it to the research objectives, the main indicator is the labor performance obtained from executing the horizontal formwork. In the development of the thesis, the value stream map was implemented. It begins with the Identification of the product family, where the activities that have similar construction procedures are defined, with the beam and slab formwork items being the product family. The current value flow map shows the current state of how processes are executed and how information is transmitted. It was reflected in the current state that in the execution of the horizontal formwork items there is a productivity lower than the budget, in addition the information transmitted from the production area to the workers was not very efficient. The flow map of future value reflects the required state of execution of the processes and information, these goals being achievable. It was reflected in the future state that productivity is above the budget, in addition to having better communication in the production area, committing the workers to the fulfillment of the project goals. Finally, a work and execution plan is drawn up, detailing the actions to be able to reach the future state. In a meeting with the project management team, the work plan was elaborated, where the production area agrees to meet daily with the supervisor of the horizontal formwork to learn about the restrictions that may affect its daily goal. At the end of the execution of the four stages, a new current value flow map is made to compare it with the future value flow map, and thus make the decision to maintain the same work and execution plan or change it to other. Subsequently, the indicators used are reflected in a Weekly Production Report (ISP), where the evolution of the results obtained is plotted. Three indicators will be graphed: Target Performance, Weekly Performance and Accumulated Performance. The results obtained show that implementing the value stream map helps to improve the productivity of the workforce. It is concluded that having a consensual work and execution plan has a greater possibility of obtaining the expected results.
