This thesis project focuses on developing a detailed and comparative study of the behavior of passive and active anchors as a method of support on a given slope. In this case, Cerro Candela, located in the district of Imperial, in the province of Cañete, Lima, was chosen as the field of study. From the studies of soil mechanics carried out in this sector, and from the topographic studies in which the morphology of the terrain is described; two longitudinal profiles are generated in which the profile with the steepest slope and the highest risk of instability is selected; In addition to this profile, they are subjected to cutting and filling plans that simulate the urban rehabilitation works that will be produced in the future. It is in this scenario that the slope modeling begins and is analyzed with the help of the SLIDE software, under different states of the terrain, as in a static natural state (without subjecting it to external loads), as well as in a static state with loads and finally an analysis under the dynamic state; all this, in order to obtain information on its stability knowing its safety factor and which in turn will serve as comparative points with the support methods studied. The studies conclude and focus on the analysis of the passive and active anchorages of each supporting wall and on the global analysis of each anchoring method; to make comparative tables and finally find values that can determine the differences between one method and the other, which are described in the conclusions of this project.
