In the following research of professional sufficiency an analysis of a Cooling Tower for a Combined Cycle Power Station is done to compare if it is possible an improvement in the availability applying the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). During this research the information about the Cooling Tower was collected and a list of equipments and structures was done. Using this list were elaborated surveys to establish the criticality and was applied the RCM to the items evaluated as critical using the Failure Modes Effect Analysis and decision diagram of the RCM, with these results was elaborated a schedule of maintenance activities and time of executions, and finally the projected availability. Also, an analysis of the fail time during the 2019 was done and the availability was calculated. With all the information the availabilities were compared and the respective conclusions and recommendations were presented.
