This report is divided into four chapters, conceived with the purpose of showing the works developed in the project: “Detailed engineering for the independence of industrial drains“, developed in 7 hydropower plants (Huinco, Callahuanca, Huampaní, Moyopampa, Matucana, Chimay and Yanango). The aforementioned hydropower plants have been modified over the years in order to repower them, which has meant that the drainage systems are not independent, in addition to not having a common collection and treatment point; in response to this problem, environmental enforcement authorities urge them to evaluate their drainage systems and implement solutions to ensure adequate drainage collection and monitoring. The general objective of this report is to evaluate the operation of the drainage systems in the 7 hydropower plants indicated and to propose improvements that will allow them to operate correctly in accordance with environmental regulations. The methodology used in the development of the project includes the information gathering processes to be used for the evaluation of the drainage systems, starting with geodetic monumentation, identification of these systems and topographic surveys of each hydropower station; it also includes the verification and evaluation of the various problems encountered, in order to then provide alternative solutions and finally detail budgets for the improvements proposed. As results of the report, the improvements implemented for the independence of the industrial drainage systems in each of the hydropower plants are detailed, with their respective budgets, and the results obtained in the water quality monitors carried out are also shown.
