In this research, a stochastic statistical methodology was developed for the annual prediction of energy generation in a photovoltaic solar power plant, for which the input data are: solar irradiation, maximum and minimum average monthly ambient temperature, technical characteristics of panels solar and coordinates of the solar power plant; The case study of the present investigation is the Majes solar power plant. The data were processed using a model created by the thesis student in Microsoft Excel and the @risk software, where the Montecarlo simulation was carried out in the latter; A probability function will be proposed for each week with respect to the meteorological data in the database, which will be extracted from the web pages of: “NASA Prediction“, SENAMHI and COES. The results obtained from the simulation are analyzed, which will provide us with interesting results for decision-making on the construction of a solar power plant later.
