This research began in the Control and Automation Laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the National University of Engineering at the end of 2018, which was acquired to improve the teaching of the specialty of mechatronics engineering. The purpose of this research is to provide students and researchers with an instrument for their intellectual growth and for the academic development of the faculty, through the design of a test bench for globe, gate and ball valves up to 8 inches according to the API 598 standard. Among the main topics covered by this document for the understanding and design of the bench are the associated technical standards and the operating principles of the tests, as well as some of the valves used and the fundamental aspects of the programming of the tests and their control. Subsequently, it focuses on the development issues of the project or design, which includes the components of the system and their respective operation, as well as the installation and connections, design of the control system program. The design of the bench for the valves in the project has a mainly academic approach, so the main tests will be to corroborate the correlation between the different variables that intervene in its operation such as: Pressure, position, flow, time, however, It can be used to perform more advanced tests for research purposes due to its easy handling and test customization capabilities.
