This work presents a detailed process of manufacturing carbon-based perovskite solar cells in order to achieve high efficiency. The structure of the solar cells was a triple-layer scaffold: TiO2/ZrO2/carbon. The layers were printed by a scalable and replicable technique: screen printing. The metal halide perovskite solution was infiltrated at the porous interface of TiO2/ZrO2 through the printed carbon layer containing PbI2 in Ƴ-butyrolactone together with methyl ammonium (MA) and cations of 5-aminovalent acid (5-AVA) as a solvent. Then a preheating method of the perovskite’s infiltration was implemented to improve the efficiency of the cells. In addition, structural and morphological characterizations were performed to understand, and compere, the result of the solar cells manufactured by applying the preheating method in perovskite infiltration, with the solar cells that were not made with this method. Among the characterizations used were X-ray diffraction, UV-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence. Finally, the preheating method was applied to prefabricated solar cells from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China), with the aim to verify that the implemented preheating method successfully can increase the efficiencies of these cells. For these cells their solar efficiencies and quantum efficiencies were measured.
