The increase in vehicles in the country generated the need to build a greater number of underground parking spaces, which have their own ventilation, insufficient to meet the requirements required by current regulations. For this reason, it is essential to provide a mechanical ventilation system that ensures that the proper conditions are maintained inside the parking basements. The present work of professional sufficiency consists in the design of a mechanical ventilation system with Jet Fan equipment for the reduction of carbon monoxide concentration in underground parking of business centers. In the design Jet Fan equipment is chosen because of the simplicity of its installation and efficient way of distributing air around the entire area. It will also have centrifugal mixed flow fans for injection and air extraction. The Jet Fan equipment is responsible for driving the fresh air received from the injection pillar and directing it to the extraction pillar, thereby expelling the gaseous pollutants to the outside. This system is based on the current regulations EM.030 of the National Building Regulations, which mention the parameters to be considered to maintain the proper conditions of carbon monoxide concentration for underground parking. Additionally, the case of a casualty is considered to be the case of a fire in the parking lot. The design of the mechanical ventilation system also includes the extraction of fumes in the basement when the accident occurs in order to facilitate the evacuation of the enclosure safeguarding the integrity of people.
