The purpose of this Research Work is to analyze the different electrical diagrams to improve the operational reliability of diesel fire pump. This Research Work describes the increase in fire cases that occurred in Peru, this information was collected from the statistics of the General Voluntary Fire Department of Peru. Due to the dire post-fire consequences, all building need for an adequate fire pumping system to safeguard human life and the infrastructure. The problem of the Research Work is based in the interruptions of the supply energy, which disable the operation of the pumping system. To reduce this problem, alternative electrical diagrams and supplies are analyzed in order to check those schemes where the reliability of the system is greater. For the development of the Research Work, the data of the reliability of equipment and accessories involved in the pumping system has been obtained by average probability statistics of failure (collected from current standards and publication) and historical records of reliability of the supply energy (collected from institutions public). Finally, the method used to quantify the degree of reliability of the different electrical schemes is the reliability block diagram, which includes the supply energy facilities, the backup supply energy facilities (generator set) and the diesel fire pump facilities together with their accessories.
