In this thesis, the environmental impact assessment of the concrete lining project of the Maria Angola canal in the Imperial district of the city of Cañete has been developed. The section that corresponds to the project is from the progressive 00 + 000.00 Km to the progressive 08 + 949.82 Km, the Fortaleza intake on the Cañete river has been taken as the starting point. Currently, the canal is in a very critical situation due to excessive contamination by solid waste, as well as the high load losses resulting from the current characteristics of the canal's soil. For this reason, an environmental impact assessment is proposed that will mitigate and reduce the possible negative impacts resulting from the development of this project. It is also proposed to have a concrete structure that would minimize head losses and maximize the use of water resources to intensify the different agricultural activities. This would also facilitate the maintenance and cleaning of the canal. The identification and evaluation of Environmental Impact has been carried out in all the construction processes in the different stages of the project: preliminary, execution and the final stage, for these different methodologies are used such as the modified Leopold, cause - effect matrix and sheets which will serve to identify and mitigate each construction process in each different stage of development of the concrete lining project of the Maria Angola canal. The Environmental Management Plan has been formulated where we will propose different measures such as preventive, corrective and / or environmental mitigation in order to reduce the negative environmental impacts that may arise in the different stages of the project's development. Likewise, emphasis is placed on the stages of environmental monitoring since the main purpose of this thesis is to strategically develop control measures where negative environmental impacts can be reduced throughout the development of the Project. It is concluded that the development of a concrete lining project for the Maria Angola canal would not cause significant negative impacts on the environment and therefore could be mitigated as long as the environmental management plan is highly relevant. On the technical side, head losses would be minimized by 90%, which would mean a channel with a more stable flow for management and distribution on the properties, which in turn would intensify agricultural activities with a better-quality water resource and distributed in better environmental conditions.
