The present thesis aims to demonstrate the cost-benefit of the electric bicycle as an alternative to vehicular transport, through the analysis of various scenarios experimenting with models that allow us to understand multiple aspects of the electric bicycle as a means of transport. For this, the Arena software simulation in version 14.0 is used as a tool, proposing the District of La Molina as the scenario. Said simulation evaluates the waiting times and transit times on the route designed for private transport of electric bicycles in comparison with the performance of private conventional transport, the car. To simplify the simulation, the route is designed in one direction and approximately 15 km long, considering an average speed of the bicycle of 20 km / h and that of the car of 8 km / h. Likewise, alternative routes are proposed to help reduce operating times and costs through the proposed new transportation system. In addition, pollution impact calculations are made that the proposed transportation system would stop emitting thanks to its reduced carbon footprint. For them, international methodologies accepted and recommended by the international community are used in favor of the reduction of polluting gases. Considering that Peru is subscribed to various international agreements with the aim of reducing the unwanted impacts of the use of hydrocarbons.
