The present work develops the probabilistic model of mineral transport in the Corihuarmi mining unit of the Mining Company I.R.L. S.A. with the objective to resize the fleet of hauling equipment with the lowest cost per ton moved, as a result of increasing the tonnage of the annual mining plan. For this study, 2 scenarios were analyzed, the first scenario is based on calculate a mixed fleet of dump trucks of 17 m3 and 22 m3, the second scenario is it is based on replacing the current fleet of 17 m3 dump trucks with that of 22 m3. The probabilistic model of transport of cargo and haul presented was designed and I code in the GPSS World simulation language student version, this Simulation language uses the concepts of the Central Limit Theorem of A. Liapounov, method of Monte Carlo by John von Neumman, among others for Approach reality. The 2 scenarios proposed for the increase in tonnage of the mining plan they present the following alternatives, from the first scenario it is obtained that the best alternative is with 10 dump trucks of 22 m3 and 2 dump trucks of 17 m3; for him second scenario was obtained as a better alternative to work with 13 dump trucks 22 m3 which meets the new projected mining plan plus an additional 84,580 tons of material monthly. For both scenarios the sum of the unit cost of loading and hauling is $ 0.53 per ton move.
