Carrying out a maintenance plan using management tools and operating protocols in a theater is quite a challenge, because it is not the typical engineering thesis that is carried out. Furthermore, since there are parameters that cannot be measured and cannot be compared with other similar parameters, a detailed analysis was performed for each item, and historical information on maintenance costs was collected. Currently, the UNI Grand Theater, which dates from 25 years of creation, does not have an approved maintenance plan; work has been done on a corrective basis, for which many times there is no planned monitoring. For a better analysis we have divided the Theater into seven systems and each system has been evaluated using management tools, finding the most critical component for each of them, maintenance in each system is essential for the entire Theater to function. A Pareto analysis has been performed to determine the criticality matrix and an Ishikawa diagram to know the causes and their effects. Subsequently, Pareto charts are prepared analyzing the cost of maintenance according to each component of the system, in the same way charts of system availability were made for each month of 2018. With the knowledge of the critical equipment, as well as the costs of components by systems and especially the influence of failures and failure mode, the maintenance plan for each system was carried out. This will allow future maintenance software to be fed with the results obtained and allow us to immediately locate faults. With the results obtained, the critical equipment, the cause and effect of the problems will be determined, as well as determining which system we must take care of as a priority to avoid an unscheduled shutdown of any system.
