The purpose of this work was to determine if the migration proposal to the mechanized loading system is economically more viable with respect to the traditional system, 10 blasts were collected as a baseline and their results were analyzed, achieving 3.65 meters of effective advance among the most relevant. Then the drill screens were redesigned and new loading designs were made and finally a total of 10 blasts were demonstrated. The results show improvements in effective blasting advance, reduction of over-break, loading times and less exposure of personnel to the work front, and consequently a monthly savings in global blasting cost of US $ 27,037.14. Therefore, it is concluded that the migration proposal to a mechanized loading system has proven benefits and its application is recommended in horizontal blasting in underground mines.
