The present thesis work is developed for the Immaculada Mining Unit of the Mining Company Ares S.A.C. located in the region of Ayacucho, specifically for the Angela vein of the deepening zone where there is currently mining and it doesn’t have a geomechanical evaluation, for this reason it is necessary update the information collecting new rock mass database and resetting the interpretation of the geomechanical design to define the new mining length along the course of the vein of the pit exploited with the method of long drills. Due to this, it’s proposed to expand the maximum permissible exploiting length with purpose of improving mining productivity, reduce drilling costs and explosives, without neglect the stability of the pit and dilution control. The geomechanical evaluation of the mineralized zone and the boxing rock is carried out based on reviewing existing information, field investigations of detailed mapping of sublevels of the pits of the mined, the verification of lateral cores and sample collection for laboratory tests in order to characterize the rock mass, in which processes the information generated with methods empirical (graphical method of stability of Mathews) in which it’s corroborated with the analysis wedges (software unwedge) and numerical analysis - stress (software phase2), ending with the Bolting cable distribution design (increasing the safety factor and decreasing the dilution).
