The challenges in mining lead us to need improvement opportunities and excellence in all the mining cycle processes. Especially, in the drilling and blasting processes, which will be studied to obtain optimal fragmentation. Currently, there is a baseline with a low drilling index and a slack of fragmentation size expansion, emphasized in the P80, for blasting in long drills, which leads us to improve drilling and blasting parameters; Improving drilling footage, drilling rate and power factor. The objective of this study is to contribute to the improvement of drilling rates and the P80, using rocks fragments images generated by massive blasting of long drills and consequently, using these images in Split Desktop software and with the results of the graphs of the software will be used in the granulometric prediction models of the Kuz-Ram. Having as a result the modification of the perforation mesh for all the holes of long drills, this increase helps us to obtain improvements in the drilling times, the drilling index, savings in the equipment and materials, and in the granulometry.
