The Arcata Mining Unit is located in the district of Cayarani, Province of Condesuyos, Department and Region of Arequipa, the road is accessed from Arequipa passing through Sumbay, continuing by road to Caylloma reaching the Arcata Mining Unit. The main objective of the thesis work is to reduce the dilution based on the evaluation and improvement of the process of extraction of the mineral from the testing stage until its arrival at the concentrator plant, taking into account the fluctuations of the price of precious metals in the market international. For this purpose, it can proceed to identify and evaluate the geological characteristics before, during and after the mining process, for purposes of importance with the correct purpose of the exploited materials, considering the mineral itself and the waste as mineral exploited; Identify the factors that increase the dilution indexes and perform the evaluation of each of the processes applied in the quality control of the ore at the Arcata Mine, for the purpose of optimization. The present proposal proposes a correct control of the alterations, the lithology and the structural guidelines for the characterization of the production pits, at the same time mitigate the dilution of the mineral product of processes that happen during the production. Finally, perform an economic analysis after reducing the levels of dilution, to quantify the increase in economic gains in the operation.
