The current competitive market requires production and service companies to constantly improve their processes through progressive improvement projects and innovations. In this sense, with the objective of reducing production costs, the variability of quality parameters and optimizing the resources used, it is usual to promote technological change projects in companies that can be applicable both in the production process and in the quality control process. The purpose of this report is to develop and implement an alternative analytical method in an Acrylic Fiber production plant to determine the lubricant content in acrylic fiber in process, for which a SHIMADZU brand Total Organic Carbon Analyzer is used. Also, present the benefits of using an instrumental analysis method in the production process. This report details the initial tests performed with the instrumental equipment to determine the analyte extraction method, the amount of sample required and the curve used for the instrumental equipment. This report also presents the method of analysis obtained, in addition to the impact of implementing this new method of measurement in the production process, mainly in response time and the drastic decrease in the production of non-conforming products.
