This thesis presents the results of the behavior of concrete that includes SIKA FIBER CHO 80/60 NB steel fiber in relation to the “standard concrete“. Its is called “standard concrete“ to that concrete that does not have steel fiber. Analyzes has been carried out on different of dosages of Steel fiber such as 15 kg/m3, 30 kg/m3 and 45 kg/m3. Tests have been performed for 3 different water/cement ratios: 0.40, 0.45 and 0.50. The concrete had a slump between 3“-4“ and Type I Portland cement was used. To know the properties of the materials, coarse and fine aggregates, these were tested in the Materials Testing Laboratory at UNI. However, the properties of cement and steel fiber were considered according to the manufacturers indications. The water that was used was drinking water of the Materials Testing Laboratory. Concrete tests were performed in their fresh and hardened states. The test results obtained in hardened concrete show the positive influence that steel fiber exerts on the concrete in its mechanical properties. For concrete cases with a 0.40 and 0.5 of wáter/cement ratios, an increase of the order of 9% in compressive strength after 28 days has been archieved as compared to the “standard concrete”.
