The design of hospital complexes has gained a lot of importance in recent years because it now seeks to improve image and productivity, as well as provide reliability, safety, efficiency and comfort for the patient. In this work we will focus on the design of the electrical system in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage for hospital complexes of the third level of care, category 2, taking the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) as a reference, which seeks to expand its services to improve the capacity and quality of diagnostic care and outpatient cancer treatment through the implementation of a new building with nine floors and three basements. Calculation procedures will be established for the correct sizing of the system and electrical equipment and the results of these calculations and the main plans that will facilitate the interpretation of this work. In the same way, a equipment and materials list will be presented with the unit prices of each item, obtaining the cost of the work corresponding to the electrical area. Finally, it will conclude with a higher level of reliability and safety in the complete design of electrical systems in hospitals of the third level of care.
