The present work details the design of a tire protection system based on sprinklers for a department store of 2910m2, where the concepts, hydraulic foundations, and the necessary steps for the design of a fire-fighting system will be made known, using the NFPA 13 standard. We start by analyzing the risk level of the commercial premises, and then determine the design parameters that will allow us to perform the hydraulic calculations to obtain the necessary flow and pressure of the sprinkler system. We will also validate the calculation by simulation through the Fire Elite Sprinkler software and finally we select the sprinkler system based on a cost comparison thus obtaining the final plans.
