Due to the unique structural characteristics presented in the mineralization of experienced in the UEA Heraldos Negros - Zona Alta, it is that Minera San Valentín Company is in need of seeking new mining alternatives to the method of cutting and ascending fill that is being applied. The mining method to be applied must be technically feasible to the different conditions of the deposit, it is for these reasons that in this report the application of the method of exploitation by bank and filling is proposed, which is a variant of the traditional cut and fill up in combination with the sub-level logging method. The application of the method of banking and filling in the mining unit Heraldos Negros seeks to positively impact the safety conditions of operations by reducing the exposure of personnel during the operation, increasing productivity, reducing operating costs, maintaining the condition of The existing mineral reserves are mineable, in addition to ensuring the structural stability of the mine in Zona Alta. Based on the results of the geotechnical investigations carried out, field work and cabinet, it has been possible to determine that the study area has 7 markedly differentiated geomechanical domains associated with bad and regular rock qualities. The design to be executed in the mine study area is composed of 8 blocks of ore from proven reserves, Bomboncito vein and Heraldos Negros, covering heights between 5000 and 5060 meters above sea level, the proposed design considers banks 8.5 m high, with a variable cutting width of 1.5 to 3.5 m.
